Linda Lacey is the Director of the Office for Healthcare Workforce Analysis & Planning within the South Carolina AHEC program office. She is responsible for developing data resources related to the South Carolina healthcare workforce and coordinating research efforts to address supply and demand issues for the wide variety of healthcare personnel in the state. Recent projects include a profile of the pharmacist workforce in the state; a supply and demand projection for RNs; and an examination of factors related to the graduate medical education system in South Carolina, and their influence on the state’s  primary care physician workforce.  She also oversees the regular publication of the South Carolina Health Professions Data Book which summarizes population demographics, health status and healthcare workforce statistics for each county in the state.
